Katie Price: I was gutted about having to leave Harvey at home

Katie Price reportedly had to leave son Harvey behind in the UK for medical reasons, when she fled the country on Monday.

The glamour model, also known as Jordan, fled to the Maldives on Monday after it was announced that her marriage to Peter Andre was over. Katie took the couple’s two younger children, nearly four year old son Junior and 23-month-old daughter Princess, with her but left Harvey, her son from a previous relationship, at home in Surrey. She is said to have been livid when she found out that Peter also left the country, to stay with family in Cyprus, leaving the nearly seven year old boy at home with just a carer and her mum.

A friend told the Mirror: “When the news came out Peter had called time on the marriage she just needed to get away. She so wanted to take Harvey with her but knew for medical reasons it was impossible.

“Harvey needs specialist care and she knew where she was going couldn’t provide it. So with much heartache she left him in the UK.

“Katie is really lost without Harvey. She has spoken to him on the phone repeatedly and assured him she will be home soon.

“She is extremely upset and in tears about being so far away from Harvey and it was a decision she didn’t take lightly.”

Yesterday, the star posted a message on her new Twitter account saying: “missing harvey soo much wish he was here but had 2 stay at home for his routine an health an did not want to disrupt that.”
