Selena Gomez has dismissed claims she’s dating Twilight’s Taylor Lautner and said she can’t imagine dating anyone famous now.

The Wizards of Waverley Place star sparked rumours she was dating Taylor, who plays Jacob Black in the teen vampire series, after the pair were spotted dining and goofing around together in Vancouver recently. Both are in the city filming their new movies - Taylor in New Moon and Selena in Beezus and Ramona - but Selena insists they’re just friends.

The actress, who was also rumoured to have had a fling with Nick Jonas, added: “I used to say that I wanted someone cute and nice, and an actor too.

“But now I think it would be good for me to date someone who’s not in the business.”
