Katie Price has dismissed suggestions that husband Peter Andre dumped her over her partying.

The couple announced their separation after three and a half years of marriage last Monday and reports quickly followed that Peter called time on their relationship after photos of Katie drunk on a night out were “the last straw”.

But Katie, who rose to fame as her glamour modelling alter-ego Jordan, told OK magazine: “Pete can’t blame this on me drinking. Over the five years of our relationship I’ve probably been out 20 times.

“I’m not a party girl and I don’t drink at home. So when I go out I can get drunk quickly.”

She added though that she accepts things were wrong between them and she is keen to fix them: “I don’t want us to split up.

“I love my husband but I can’t sit around crying. This is a new story and a new chapter in my life and I know the truth.”
