Sarah Jessica Parker has said she’s “incredibly outraged” that the identity of the woman carrying her surrogate twins has become public knowledge.

Several news outlets covered stories on the identity and biography of the woman earlier in the month - and now the Sex and the City star has said the woman and even her friends are being tailed by paparazzi photographers.

SJP told Access Hollywood: “[It’s] an extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy.

“The most unsavoury things have been done. She’s had her phone hacked, her personal computer information hacked, she’s had threats against her and true harassment… She’s had friends threatened and family threatened and she’s had family of friends threatened.

“It’s crossed lines… Pretty much all the lines have been crossed… There’s simply no excuse for doing this to somebody. It’s not acceptable.

“On a daily basis, on an hourly basis, I am greatly concerned for [the woman’s] health and safety and the safe delivery of our children. It’s really incredibly upsetting to think of her so far away and me not being able to do something, beyond what I’m legally allowed to do.

“Obviously there are those that don’t care about her, or her health, or safety, or my children’s health and safety, and that they should go to term and not go into an early labour and, god forbid, suffer all the things that can happen - that is a real possibility.

“It keeps me up every night. It’s really incredibly upsetting to think of her so far away and me not being able to do something.”

She added that while some reports have attacked the woman’s past behaviour, Sarah Jessica and husband Matthew Broderick have sure they made the right choice when they picked her to carry their babies: I’m beyond comfortable with who she is. We haven’t been reckless, we haven’t been cavalier. She hasn’t been reckless.”

The couple confirmed the pregnancy last month and the babies are due in the autumn.
