nullPeter Andre’s ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown has reportedly urged Peter and wife Katie Price to give their marriage another try.

The couple announced their separation last week and both fled the country - glamour model Katie into hiding in the Maldives with the couple’s two youngest children, and Peter to stay with his family in Cyprus. Peter returned to the UK yesterday and Katie is due back today, and the pair are expected to meet up for crisis talks this evening. Peter has said they’re only meeting to talk about custody arrangements for their children - but former Spice Girl Mel B has said she thinks they should think about reconciling too.

She’s quoted as saying: “Pete’s a great guy - it’s a really sad situation. Pete and Katie are really popular in LA, and so I hope they get back together - especially as there are kids involved.

“We have all made mistakes. I know my husband Stephen has done some crazy things in the past but I love him like mad, and he loves me.

“Pete should give Katie a second chance. Everyone deserves one.

“From what I know, they are madly in love - and love conquers all.”

Katie’s dressage coach Andrew Gould - who was painted as “the other man” in the early days of the split - has also said he thinks Katie and Peter should give things another go.

He told the Daily Star: “I haven’t spoken to Peter. I have spoken to Kate, but that’s my duty to tell her how her horses are doing.

“I think Kate needs to sit down and talk with Peter. They need to sit down and properly talk things over.”

He added that he has offered to meet Peter “man to man” and will help save their marriage, if Pete is interested.

But a source close to Peter has said the singer’s only concern now is the children and he’s not looking forward to seeing his wife: “He hasn’t got the energy for the fights.

“He knows any talking will end up in a row and he wants to keep things calm for the sake of the children. He doesn’t feel ready to see Katie yet.”
