Peter Andre is expected to officially file for divorce today a fortnight after he and wife Katie Price announced their separation.

The singer has already had two lengthy sessions with lawyers but is only expected to sign the first set of divorce papers today. Peter is said to want a “quickie divorce”, which may require one of the pair to admit to being ‘at-fault’, to avoid a drawn out legal battle and will focus his attention on custody arrangements for the children.

In his New! magazine column, he revealed that he’s looking for a new home close to the home he used to share with Katie in Surrey: “My only stipulation is that it has to be near the kids.

“I’m having a rough time, but they are a glimmer of sunshine in my life and always will be.

“I speak [to them] every day on the phone but it’s not the same as giving them hugs and kisses. Fortunately I got to see all three at weekend and I’ve never been so excited.

“I couldn’t wait to just hold them and savour every minute.”

He added that he’s lost nearly a stone in weight over the last few difficult weeks: “I had a meeting with my lawyers last week and when I put on my suit it was hanging off me.

“I had it made for the Oscars a couple of months ago and it fitted like a glove. I hadn’t really noticed how much I’ve shrunk but it makes sense as I’ve had practically no appetite recently.”
