Peaches Geldof staying at five-star hotel for free
Peaches Geldof has reportedly run up bills of almost £50,000 in her three month stay at a London hotel.
The socialite moved into the five star Mayfair Hotel in February after she separated from husband of six months Max Drummey - but under a deal with the hotel, has only had to pay a fraction of the costs for her £330 a night room (upgraded to a £1000-a-night suite when they’re available), and has been given free meals, drinks, room service and use of the hotel’s spa, where treatments cost up to £350.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Peaches has basically been living at the hotel. She has spent a huge amount of money here with her friends and the tab is taken care of.
“It’s felt she is a good ambassador for the hotel and because of that she is allowed to have friends stay with her and have parties up in her room.”
Peaches moved out of dad Bob Geldof’s home in Battersea in August 2007 and lived in a flat in Islington with friends before marrying Chester French star Max last summer. During their brief marriage, she split her time between New York and London, but is now back in London almost full time while she pursues her modelling and fashion career.
A second source added: “They usually only offer free rooms to A-list stars but at the moment with the downturn, they’d rather have the publicity rather than empty rooms.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
