Anna Friel: I have to be patient and wait for my fantasy wedding
Anna Friel has said she’s finding it “tough” that her long-time partner David Thewlis might not want to get married.
The couple began dating in 2001 after meeting on a plane to 2001 and have a three year old daughter together, Gracie - but the former Pushing Daisies star admits she often fantasises about having a big wedding.
She explained recently: “From the beginning of my relationship with David, I promised myself I’d never try to change him.
“One of the issues I have had to be sensitive about is marriage - David’s been married before and, to some extent, I think his experience has put him off.
“It’s tough, because I have very clear romantic fantasies. Romance and marriage matter to me.
“We do talk about it and he says getting married won’t make any difference to us, but he also says he’s not closed to the idea. I just have to be patient.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
