David Duchovny and Tea Leoni are reportedly planning to renew their wedding vows eight months after they formally separated.

The couple announced the end of their eleven year marriage last October after X Files star David spent time in treatment for sex addiction - but they were repeatedly spotted together after the split announcement, prompting rumours that things weren’t completely over between the pair.

Now a source close to the family has told the Daily Express that they’re hoping to seal their reunion by exchanging their wedding vows a second time: “They’ve been married for 12 years and, like most of us, have had their ups and downs. But they really want to put the past behind them and renew their vows.

“They want to draw a line under things and make a fresh start. They went through a tough time but have reignited that spark.

“David realises how close he came to losing it all so he especially wants to have their family and closest friends on hand to witness his second chance at happiness.”

The couple has two children together: ten year old daughter Madelaine and six year old son Kyd.
