Katie Price has reportedly “hit rock bottom” almost a month after she and husband Peter Andre announced their separation.

Immediately after announcing their split, Katie, also known as glamour model Jordan, fled the country, flying to the Maldives with her two youngest children, Junior and Princess. When she returned to the UK, she threw herself back into work - saying she was trying to keep herself busy - but now friends close to the star say the reality of the situation is really beginning to sink in.

A source told the News of the World: “All of a sudden this became a reality [and] Katie’s hit rock bottom. She doesn’t know what to do with herself.

“Her behaviour is all over the place. She’s been sobbing, trying to call Peter and attacking anyone she can.

“She’s complaining constantly, especially about not being able to sleep. She’s become unbearable. She’s finding it tough around the kids and isn’t getting up and about until they’ve already left for school.

“She’s spending most of the day lying in bed bossing people about. She’s very moody. She’s struggling to cope with the way people have turned against her.”

But the source explained she’s not sitting back and feeling sorry for herself - she’s gearing herself up for a fight: “I have never seen her so determined. She likes a fight and she wants to beat him.

“She’s been used to taking out her anger on Peter for years and now that she can’t, she doesn’t quite know how to deal with it.

“She’s become convinced Peter is out to destroy her and take away the reputation she’s worked so hard to build up.

“She’s [also] worked so hard to build up her career and her millions. She thinks he doesn’t want her to make any money.

“She wants to come out fighting. She’s more ambitious than ever. She thinks that in two years he’ll have no career and she’ll be the one everyone is talking about again.

The source added that Katie is planning to reinvent herself again for the next stage of her career: “Katie knows that in two years she’s going to be riding high again. What she is certain about is that this is very far from being the end of Jordan.

“Katie Price is gone for a while and Jordan is about to come back in the most exciting way possible.”

But she also hopes to be seen as a fashionista like Victoria Beckham: “There are so many similarities between Jordan and Posh-the way they talk, look, act and are misunderstood by the public almost every day. Victoria isn’t liked by everyone but she’s made millions by being a style icon people are fascinated by.

“Jordan’s going to be introducing a much more bizarre slant to her fashion and look. She’s going to be working with the fascination people have with her.

“She’s more accessible than Victoria Beckham and because she’s in the UK still, we think she could make even more money and be even more successful. This is a huge moment for her.”
