Peter Andre has dismissed rumours that he and wife Katie Price have agreed on a “quickie” divorce - and their relationship is reportedly getting worse by the day.

Writing in his column in New! magazine, Peter dismissed suggestions that the pair had agreed to an at-fault divorce, which can be considerably quicker than a no-fault one, citing Katie’s “unreasonable behaviour”.

He wrote: “It’s news to me. I didn’t even know you could get divorced that quickly.”

Friends close to the pair have said that any agreement is unlikely between the pair at the moment, and relations are getting increasingly acrimonious.

A source told the Sun: “It’s a bloody war. Katie wanted Pete back, but it isn’t going to happen and neither is an amicable divorce.

“He’s accused her of having a boyfriend and destroying two families. He believes she never loved him like he loved her.

“There is a sea of resentment between them and a gathering storm. It’s going to be one of the messiest splits the celebrity world has seen.

“The rows have obviously had an effect on the kids.

“Katie feels like she’s been abandoned for a second time and told Peter he was no better than [the biological father of her son Harvey] Dwight Yorke. She feels very let down.”

Yesterday Peter was spotted moving into his new home in Sussex, showing children Princess Tiaammi and Junior the house, then held an early birthday party for Junior, who turns four this weekend.

A source told the Mirror that Peter was going all out on the party because he’s “gutted he won’t be here for Junior’s actual birthday”.

Meanwhile, Katie, also known as glamour model Jordan, was spotted shopping for Junior’s fourth birthday with best friend Michelle Heaton in Brighton. In her column in OK! magazine, she denied rumours that she’d lost close to a stone in weight in the month since the couple’s split: she explained it was simply her body returning to normal after building up muscle for running the London marathon in April.
