Miley Cyrus is reportedly not ruling out a reunion with boyfriend Justin Gaston.

The Hannah Montana star sparked rumours of a split from boyfriend of nine months Justin on Sunday night and Monday after a series of messages on Twitter, starting with: “Tears are words the heart can’t express.”

Justin followed that up the next morning with “Haven’t been this miserable in a looong time… How many tears are in there? They’ve gotta run out soon, right?” and Miley added “‘my heart is in two… and its all because of you.’ a song i am starting to write :) … why does saying good-bye hurt so much?”.

The pair were last spotted together at a Hannah Montana party in Los Angeles with onlookers saying there was “no hint” of any problems between the pair - but sources claim they split up on Sunday before Miley left Los Angeles to fly to Savannah, Georgia to film her new movie The Last Song.

A source close to the pair explained: “They have been having trouble for a while. It’s been hard for a long time since Miley has been working so much and travelling a lot.”

But another source added: “They’ve put things on pause rather than called it quits for good. They like each other a lot but it’s difficult for them to be together because they’re both so busy at the moment.

“They’ll see where they are when Miley returns to LA in a few weeks.”
