Michael Jackson’s ex-wife has allegedly written emails saying she doesn’t want the couple’s children.

With a looming custody battle over who will care for Prince Michael I, 12, and 11-year-old Paris - the two children borne by Debbie for Michael - a friend of the former nurse claims she wrote emails to her saying she would only ask for the kids to “look good”.

Pal Rebecca White says Debbie wrote to her on July 2 and again on July 5, a week after Michael’s death, explaining she didn’t see the children as her own.

In emails obtained by website ExtraTV.com, Debbie is initially said to have written: “I’m not going after custody. These kids are not mine. They were never mine. They were always Michael’s. I was Michael’s best friend.”

She then wrote three days later: “My lawyer is telling me I have to take some responsibility about the welfare of the children. Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely.

“I don’t want to look like the woman who gave away her kids and just forgot about them.”

Debbie did, however, express concern that Michael’s father Joe could raise the children, adding: “Would Michael want Joe to have them? I think it would be the last thing he would ever have wanted.”

Rebecca also alleges there is now a “secret deal” in place relating to the two kids - who also have a brother, seven-year-old Prince Michael II, whose mother is an unknown surrogate - which has been reached between Debbie and the Jackson family.

She said: “In one text message, she just said, ‘Just wait until the 14th. Everything will be done after the 14th.’

“There’s definitely going to be a secret deal. There’s definitely going to be a settlement that’s going to come out of this.”

Meanwhile, Debbie’s lawyer has written a letter to the New York Post newspaper, stating she will not give up her parental rights and demanding they retract an article claiming Debbie will drop her custody battle for $4 million.

The letter, from lawyer Eric George, states: “There has been no agreement reached between Ms. Rowe and the Jacksons. Ms. Rowe has not and will not give up her parental rights.

“Ms. Rowe has not accepted and will not accept any additional financial consideration beyond the spousal support she and Michael personally agreed to several years ago.”

Debbie is due to attend a Superior Court hearing in Los Angeles on July 20 for temporary guardianship of the children, who have been staying with their grandmother Katherine Jackson, along with Prince Michael II, also known as ‘Blanket’.

Katherine was named as the children’s guardian in Jackson’s will, dating back to 2002, and wants permanent custody of the three kids.

It has also been claimed Michael’s sister Janet wants custody of the children.

A source said: “Janet has completely bonded with those children in the last two weeks. She has been their rock. It’s clear to everyone that they are looking to her for comfort and guidance.”
