Michael Jackson ‘terrified’ of jail

Michael Jackson’s former lawyer was “worried he would do something stupid” during his child molestation trial.

Tony Capozzola - who oversaw Michael’s defence during the 2005 case - has revealed the late pop icon was terrified of going to jail, and even hinted he would rather kill himself than be imprisoned.

Capozzola said: “He would constantly say, ‘Tony, do you think I’m going to jail? I need you to be honest with me.’

“He would break down, his voice would tremble and he’d be sobbing. He never said, ‘I’m going to kill myself,’ but he said, ‘I can’t go to jail, I just can’t.’ He implied that he would have to find another way out.

Alex James’ confused kids

Alex James’ children think he is a conductor.

The musician - who took part in UK TV show ‘Maestro’ last year, where celebrities had to learn how to conduct an orchestra - admits his four kids have no idea about his success as a bass player.

Alex - who recently reunited with his band Blur for a series of shows - said: “Yes, they think I’m a conductor, or they did until recently. They wanted to be conductors until recently, now I think they want to sing. Bad choice.”

Alex - who has a five-year-old son Geronimo, three-year-old twin boys Artemis and Galileo and 10-month-old daughter Sable, with wife Claire - doesn’t mind that his children dream of being singers like his bandmate Damon Albarn instead of following in his own musical footsteps.

She explained: “He was the King who inspired us all. I am so terribly sad about Michael Jackson’s death. I don’t know what artist wasn’t inspired by him. Everybody grew up in awe of him.

“To work with him and become friends and hang out with him, was exciting for me. I used to love picking his brains about musical stuff.”

Jack White hates technology.

The musician - who insists on doing all his recordings on analogue tape rather than digital - doesn’t own a mobile phone and hates the internet but admits his attitude infuriates others.

He said: “I want to be part of the resurgence of things that are tangible, beautiful and soulful, rather than just give in to the digital age.
