  Happy 1000 show! I was wondering if I could ask a favor of you? My name is Kami DeFord, I’m 37 years old, and I have been battling breast cancer since 2006. In Nov 2008, Drs told me that it is Stage 4 Terminal. I refuse to allow myself to have an exipiration date and after doing a lot of research have decided to stop chemo and change my diet to a very strict vegan diet. I have a wonderful support system of family, friends and faith. In the midst of making some changes in my life, I recently took a leave from an extremely stressful job in finance that I just couldn’t bear anymore. I have written a children’s book from my two young son’s view point on going through the emotions of dealing with having a mommy with cancer. It is a very uplifting, heartwarming story called, “Cancer into Chyrsanthemums”. I would love to send you a copy to read. I am very proud of it and have contacted a publishing company but they wanted almost $7000 to publish and market it. Unfourtanetly with all of our medical bills we can not even begin to afford that. But, I want so bad for this book to be available for children and cancer stricken mommies to read. I believe it will help them tackle cancer with a more positive attitude and outlook on life.
