Billie Piper to be the first female Doctor Who?

fametastic-bot May 10, 2006 16:58
Doctor Who star Billie Piper wants a promotion: she wants to hand in her sidekick boots and play the Doctor herself. Billie is even reportedly willing to give up her role as Rose now so that she can return as the first female Time Lord someday. "In the next few…

I think its a brilliant idea. Billie as Rose could become a Time Mistress and they could name the new show Feminfinity (Infinity by itself is just too lame IMO) and Billie is just too SEXY!!!
Of course a couple of problems arise in a female Time Lord- she’s a human from London, not an alien and not part of the Time Lord system which only survives through Doctor Who. In order for Rose to become part of that I think the Doctor would have to impregnate her (seriously).
And to make it more wild, since he is the last Time Lord he should be dying and seek rebirth through Rose! While she is carrying him and nuturing him she would in turn take his place at saving the universe. That solves the continuity problem instead of the Doctor just declaring her a Time Lady and then bowing out. Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?

NO! No female Doctor. The Doctor is a dude, dude. I /will/ stop watching if they do that…

Oh C’mon, Doctor Who has been going on forever and things do change in time (no pun intended). Billie would be great as a female Time Matron and it doesn’t hurt that she is a singer too. I’ve wondered why no one has taken advantage of that in the series so far? She sounds kinda like Kylie Minogue and her song “Walk of Life” could easily be adapted to Walk of Time or she could sing some ballads for love scenes.
Billie’s got a lot of potential and already the new series is in trouble. So your answer is just go with any MALE to continue the series, even if it sucks?
I’m an American and Battlestar Galactica rules. Take a hint, the strong females on that show contribute greatly to the series and revolve more around them then the males. Wise choice as the numbers prove. Firefly was also awesome due to its female cast members as was Star Trek through four decades.
BTW, there are a lot more females watching sci-fi today than ever before. Billie’s got the talent, let her use it!

Billie Piper is great so is David Tennant who playes the doctor. Billie Piper is really good at playing Rose Tyler because she just knows how to act. Having a female in doctor who is brilliant, it kind of shows that girls can enjoy dr who as much as boys can really.everyone thinks dr who is for boys but it isn’t. I really like Bllie Piper and I’ll be really sad when she stops playing her role as Rose because no one can be how Billie makes Rose seem.

I think Billie as the female doctor would finally give the kiss of death to Dr Who.

And Billie would do better getting herself more demanding roles if she wants to prove she is the actress she imagines she is.

“More demanding roles”? Have you even been watching the show? Or for that matter, know anything about the other roles she’s tackled before and whilst doing Doctor Who?

The actress she “imagines” she is seems to be the actress everyone is raving about.

it’s about time for a female doctor as it showed in the Comic Relief: Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death there is female doctor the 13th Joanna Lumley, there was talk about bring the doctor back as a female after that episode, when i heard that the doctor was comming back i was hoping the doctor be female. i’m a big fan of the doctor i say if the after the this dotor goes bring the doctor back as a female, why is it said that the doctor has to be male, i say if there is a female doctor Billie Piper should have a go, one more thing keep the daleks for doctor who isn’t doctor who without them

omgomgomg!!! Billie CANNOT leave doctor who. i dont really think it would be that good if she came back as the doctor though. She would be the spitting image of rose and it would be really weird. The doctor cant just turn into rose just like that… anyway, David Tennant is doing a wicked job of being The Dcotor and should never die because he is hot lol. :D
