Whose America are you talking about? By the way, Native Americans also eat insects as well as most people in Asia and Africa because they are just high-proteins, while meats are too expensive and rare in certain regions.
I am African, and personally I never ate cockroaches nor bee larvae, but I can tell you that crikets are really tasty, I love them crispy, fried with butter and pepper. I’m more ewwww with french “escargot” how can they eat that gooey, glutinous thing… but you know “Each one to his own taste”.
One thing is for sure, crickets are good for your health my friend.
