It would be great if Americans could travel overseas more; but in reality, only the privilege can truly travel the globe. Certainly, exceptions exist. We have individuals who are naturalized citizens that travel overseas to see their family; and we also have travelers that save for months, possibly years to take that all so important trip overseas.

Yes, it would be wonderful if Americans traveled overseas, but giving rising gas prices, an economy in recession, and the tanking dollar, it makes more sense if Americans stay home.

However, here’s something that either Matt is oblivious to (which I’d guess not), but more realistically, or the author of this article declined to mention for sake of getting a rise out of its readers or even deliberately didn’t bother to mention – sometimes, when Americans stay home, they have the opportunity to see the good in their fellow citizens doing wonderful humanitarian efforts.
