Zac Efron likes to jump off cliffs for fun.

The ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ star has just been on vacation to Hawaii with his younger brother Dylan and the thrill-seeking pair weren’t afraid to leap off a 35ft cliff into the ocean when they found a spectacular waterfall.

He said: “I kicked off the summer by taking my little brother, Dylan, on a graduation trip to Hawaii. He’s going off to college next year, and I’ve been working very hard, so we haven’t been able to see each other as much as we would have liked to in the past few years. We hiked through the inner jungle in Maui, and you come across these really beautiful spots. We found this hidden place where there was an enormous waterfall and cliff jump. It was about a 35ft drop.”

Zac - who shot to fame in the ‘High School Musical‘ movies - insists he is fairly fearless in his life and is the kind of person who likes to convince others to try out crazy things.

Dennis Quaid believes prayers saved the lives of his twins.

The 56-year-old actor’s now two-year-old twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were just two weeks old when they received an accidental overdose of the anti-coagulant drug Heparin in 2007, and Dennis is convinced a “higher power” saved them from dying.

He said: “A lot of people told us later that they were praying for our babies. In the end, I believe that the power of prayer from so many is what saved them. It’s so obvious to me that a higher power in the universe is controlling what’s going on.

“I thought, ‘They’re 12 days old, and they’re going to change the world.’

Taylor Momsen feels “free” since she fired her stylists.

The 16-year-old actress-and-singer - who fronts her own band The Pretty Reckless - believes she was being shaped as a person through the clothes that were being chosen for her and she had to reclaim her wardrobe to be able to show her true personality.

Taylor - who is the face of Madonna’s fashion line Material Girl - said: “I kind of had a freak-out at some point because you know I was getting moulded into this thing that wasn’t who I am, and it was fitting into the world that will make you popular.

“I think firing my stylists has allowed me to be more free, and I now dress myself.”

Michael Lohan has been charged with 2nd degree harassment for allegedly attacking his ex-fiancee.

Michael - the father of incarcerated actress Lindsay - was charged by the Southampton Police Department and will be formally arraigned on August 18, according to gossip website TMZ.

It relates to an apparent violent showdown between Michael and Kate Major at their home in Southampton, New York, on Monday (19.07.10).

If he does not appear for his arraignment a judge is allowed to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

Gary Barlow is planning a hike to the North Pole.

The Take That singer - who let a celebrity charity expedition up Mount Kilimanjaro last year - is hoping to convince a group of showbiz pals to join him on the gruelling arctic trip in spring 2012 to raise money for BBC Sport Relief.

His latest challenge is likely to take a week to complete.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Gary loves a challenge, so as soon as he finished the Kilimanjaro trip he was working out what to do next. There was talk of climbing Everest but that’s a seriously tough exercise.

Mel Gibson was interviewed by child protection services yesterday (21.07.10).

The 54-year-old actor had a formal visit from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services after allegations by his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva he assaulted her and their eight-month-old daughter Lucia.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “The meeting lasted for several hours.”

Oksana has claimed he punched her in the head during a violent row while she was holding the baby, leaving the tot with a mark on her chin.
