Brad Pitt: every little trip we make is like a military operation

Brad Pitt and daughter Zahara Jolie-PittIt won’t come as news to anyone with children but Brad Pitt has revealed that excursions with their six children are a nightmare.

Brad and partner Angelina Jolie have six children ranging from seven year old son Maddox to four month old twins Knox & Vivienne, and he told Oprah Winfrey recently: “We don’t just go to the mall [any more].

“It’s like a half-an-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they’ve got their snacks, and Z.Z. [Zahara] has got a blanket and Shiloh’s got her silky.

“Angie’s militant about it. She’s right on top of it. Thank God, because I’m always forgetting something.”

Wait, did he say Shiloh? Because the two and a half year old little girl doesn’t want to be known as Shiloh any more: “She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a Peter Pan thing.

“So we’ve got to call her John. ‘Shi, do you want …’ - ‘John. I’m John.’ And then I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’ And she goes, ‘No!’.”

Angelina Jolie is as happy as I’ve ever seen her, says dad Jon Voight

Jon VoightJon Voight has said he would love to meet his daughter Angelina Jolie’s four month old baby twins.

Angelina and Jon have been estranged since 2002 after Jon made comments about her mental health during a TV interview - but the pair are said to have begun the process of reconciliation.

Jon told OK magazine recently: “[Meet] the twins? Holy smokes… I’m hoping, so we’ll see.

“I saw her here before the twins came, and she was so happy. I’ve never seen her that happy.

“I think it’s wonderful that she loves kids. She always had this very unusual idea about family. I can’t really attribute it to anyone.

“And she’s got this beautiful film with Clint [Eastwood] out, so there’s going to be a lot of energy around that one as well.”

He added that he thinks his daughter and son-in-love Brad Pitt are doing a great job of raising their six children in the public eye: “They are handling it, but it’s a stress on them because they can’t do things, they can’t easily go out and do stuff. They always have to consider the barrage of some kind happening.

“It’s difficult. They’re just kids after all, they’re just young people.”

Kelly Osbourne’s new fiance: I asked Ozzy Osbourne for permission first

kelly osbourneKelly Osbourne’s new fiance Luke Worrell has revealed he asked for her dad Ozzy Osbourne’s permission before proposing.

The couple confirmed their engagement on their individual Facebook pages recently and speaking during a night out at Mahiki in London this week, Luke explained: “I did everything properly.

“I did it the traditional way two weeks ago. Before I asked Kelly to marry me I asked her dad which was quite scary.

“I get on really well with her family though. Once I got the go ahead it wasn’t too bad from there.”

  • What do you think about men asking the father’s permission first? Is it a sweet tradition or an out-dated throwback to when women were the father’s, then the man’s, property? How do you think Ozzy would have reacted to the conversation? Have your say in the comments section below.
