Ashlee Simpson

Brief Biography

Ashlee Nicole Simpson was born on 3rd October 1984 in Waco, Texas; the younger sister of Jessica Simpson. Ashlee began studying classical ballet at the age of three and from the age of 11, attended the School of American Ballet in New York.

When Jessica landed a record deal, the Simpson family moved to Los Angeles and Ashlee started acting in tv commercials and cameos in a number of tv shows and films. She also worked as a dancer in Jessica’s videos and on her tour before Ashlee released her own album ‘Autobiography’ in July 2004. She released her second album ‘I Am Me’ in October 2005.

In her personal life, Ashlee dated actor Josh Henderson between 2002-2004 and Ryan Cabrera in an on-and-off relationship in 2004 and 2005. She started dating bandmate Braxton Olita in early 2006 but split with him in September 2006, apparently so she could date Fall Out Boy star, Pete Wentz. Neither party has confirmed the relationship though and as of November 2006, Ashlee classified herself as “single and loving it”.
